CALCULUS II
Block 8 2009

Text: Calculus, Early Transcendentals, by Jon Ragowski

Class Meetings: Class will meet from 9:15-11:45 Mon-Fri. Five quizzes, which are designed to take 20-30 minutes, will be available after class and due by 3PM. Optional (but recommended!) problem sessions will meet from 1:00-2:00 Mon-Thurs.

Office Hours: Kathy Merrill: TSC 206A, 227-8216.   Mon-Thur 2:00-3:00; Fri 1:30-2:30. 
                      Paraprofessional Maija Benitz: TSC 210, x6727. Hours will be posted. 
                     Tutor available in the Learning Center in Tutt and Barnes 209: Sun-Thur 7PM-9PM.

Grading: You will be graded on daily work (30% of final grade), 5 short quizzes (25%), a midterm (20%), and a final exam (25%). Daily work includes written homework assignments, computer labs and participation in class activities and discussions.

Honor Code: You can get help on the homework at the problem sessions or by coming to Maija or me individually. You may also use books, notes, each other and other friends in solving the homework problems, though it is  best to think about them yourself first. The final write-up must be your own; do not copy other people’s work. The quizzes and exams will be closed book and closed colleague. Rules for calculator/computer use will be specified on each exam.
