• For another example, take education and poverty. If you looked through the previous research and found studies linking the two in some situations, you might want to investigate this further in you own way.
• An example of a research question that ties those two concepts together is: "How does education relate to poverty level?"
• This question:
  • Is empirically testable - you can find or get statistics on both.
  • Has specific topics which are well defined.
  • Links the variables ("relate").
  • Is descriptive - it seeks to describe the relationship between the two variables.
