This house was the pastorium of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in 1955.  It thus was the home of Martin Luther King, Jr., at the time of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

This was the home of Ralph David Abernathy, pastor of the First Baptist Church, an African American church  in Montgomery.  Rev. Abernathy and his congregation were strong supporters of the Bus Boycott.
