Back to Tinsley Research Interests:

Roberto Pelayo has spent the 2007-08 academic year at Colorado College after finishing his PhD at Cal Tech in 3-manifolds.  He will join the faculty at University of Hawaii-Hilo in the fall of 2008.  Roberto and I have been blending our knowledge of low and high dimensional topology, respectively to study the ends of low dimensional (dimensions 4 and 5) manifolds.  This would extend results of Bob Daverman and myself in high dimensions.  Here is a current status summary:  (PDF)
