Note 1: Problem 10 in the online Study Guide (regarding the department store telescope with 5 cm diameter aperture) is incorrect.  The correct answer to the problem is about 3 arc seconds = 0.25*0.6 microns/0.05 m.

Extra Credit: If you attend this lecture and turn in to me on Friday April 2 a brief (1 paragraph) description of the main thesis and points of Dr. Seielstad's talk, you will receive 30 extra credit points to be credited to your quiz scores (ie when I add up all your quiz scores at the end of the block I will add 30 points to them.  Since the quizzes are worth 100 points each, this is equivalent to 1/3 of a quiz score.)
