To Prepare: Reading Assignment: Part I: Chapter 22 of the text: Employment and Unemployment: Answer question 1 on p. 405. Part II: Handout: How the Nation's Employment and Unemployment Estimates are made. Answer problems 1, 5, 6, 10 at the back of the handout. Due in class.Read Chapter Twenty Three and Twenty Six
Quiz Six: Confidence intervals (chapter 21 and 23)

Sections Covered: Chapter Twenty Six. Hypothesis testing, the t-test. Chapter Twenty Seven. Comparing two sample averages. Chapter Twenty Eight. The chi-square test.
