Group Work Guidelines

Each week you will work in a group of three to four students to solve a set of challenging problems.  You must work together on all of the problems - do not employ a "divide and conquer" strategy in which each person works on a separate problem.  Your group will turn in a single write-up of your problems.  This must be a stand-alone document, which could be read by someone who does not have our textbook.  Thus, you must begin by clearly restating each problem.  Your write-up must be complete and clear enough to convince someone who doesn't think that your answer is correct.  You should first work out the answers, then rewrite your solution clearly in a final draft.  Provide an explanation or justification for any step that is not immediately obvious.
