Hand-in Homework Assignments:

There are five hand-in homework assignments.  These problems should be written up carefully, and handed in to one of your instructors by the due date in the syllabus.  You should only consult your instructors about these problems.

Many of these problems ask for proofs.  Remember that a proof is a mathematically persuasive argument which includes complete sentences.  Like any other writing assignment, a proof may take a few drafts, even after you have the right idea!
